The Praetorian Palace, one of the most magnificent buildings in Koper, impresses with its elegant appearance and rich history. It stands next to Tito Square and completes the southern side of the city square. It was built in the 13th century and got its present appearance in the 15th century. It is dominated by late Gothic-Renaissance style and Venetian Gothic. It boasts an external staircase, a balcony, a statue of Pravica and decorative coats of arms that bear witness to the history of Koper. The last renovation was in 2001.
