Unified tickets for bus and train

All types of tickets are available at Ljubljana bus station ticket offices (open every day of the year).

The unified IJPP (integrated public passenger transport) ticket allows you to use buses in intercity public passenger transport (throughout Slovenia) and trains in regional public passenger transport (throughout Slovenia). If you are a student or a senior, you may be eligible for a subsidized pass. Find out more by visiting student section or senior section.
You may also be eligible for the senior pass if you have a permanent residency in Slovenia, are not registered as a jobseeker, are not a company owner and have a Slovenian war veteran certificate or a European disability card.

Weekend tickets* - 75% discount

All passengers are entitled to a 75% discount when travelling with regional buses or trains on Saturdays, Sundays or holidays. These tickets are available through the timetable (bottom right) or at our ticket offices.

Weekend tickets* - for groups

Groups of up to 5 people (or up to 10 people, of which at least one is under 14) are entitled to a group "Slovenia" ticket. This ticket allows for unlimited travel with regional buses and trains within Slovenia. The ticket is valid on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays for up to 4 consecutive days.

Children's tickets

Tickets are free for children up to the age of 6.

For children over the age of 6, up to the age of 15, who are not entitled to subsidized tickets, a 50% discount is taken into account when purchasing a relational single, daily, three-day, weekly, monthly or annual ticket. The discount does not apply to weekend and family tickets.

When making a purchase, the passenger must present an ID.

Types of unified tickets:

Single - allows one trip on the selected line for the selected day.
Daily - allows an unlimited number of trips on the selected line (or throughout Slovenia**) for the selected day.
Three-day - allows an unlimited number of trips on the selected line (or throughout Slovenia**) for three days.
Weekly - allows an unlimited number of trips on the selected line (or throughout Slovenia**) from Monday to Sunday.
Non-transferable monthly - allows an unlimited number of trips on the selected line (or throughout Slovenia**) from the 1st calendar day of the selected month to the 1st working day of the following month.
Non-transferable annual- allows an unlimited number of trips on the selected line (or throughout Slovenia**) for 12 months - from the 1st calendar day of the selected month to the 1st working day of the same month the following year.
Transferable monthly - same as non-transferable monthly, but more expensive because it is not tied to the holder.
Transferable annual- same as non-transferable annual, but more expensive because it is not tied to the holder.

Prices of unified tickets:

Single - according to a price calculation***.
Single weekend - 75% discount.
Daily - 2x single ticket, maximum 15 € (valid throughout Slovenia at a price of 15 €).
Daily weekend - 75% discount.
Weekend group (up to 5 people) - 15 EUR.
Weekend group (up to 10 people) - 30 EUR.
Three-day - 4x single ticket, maximum 20 € (valid throughout Slovenia at a price of 20 €).
Weekly - 8x single ticket, maximum 35 € (valid throughout Slovenia at a price of 35 €).
Non-transferable monthly - 26x single ticket, maximum 70 € (valid throughout Slovenia at a price of 70 €).
Non-transferable annual - 8x non-transferable monthly ticket, maximum 560 € (valid throughout Slovenia at a price of 560 €).
Transferable monthly - 32x single ticket, maximum 90 € (valid throughout Slovenia at a price of 90 €).
Transferable annual - 8x transferable monthly ticket, maximum 720 € (valid throughout Slovenia at a price of 720 €).

* Some ticket categories may be subject to bus station service surcharge.

** Ticket prices have an upper limit. The highest ticket price allows an unlimited number of trips throughout the entire territory of the Republic of Slovenia.

*** Price is calculated based on distances between stops for the specified route. Valid calculations are only available to public transport providers, using special software. Currently valid tariff scale.
