Free unified bus and train passes for seniors and some other groups
If you are a permanent resident of Slovenia, are not registered as a jobseeker, are not a company owner and belong to one of the following groups:
- over the age of 65
- retired
- Slovenian war veteran card holder
- European disability card holder
then you may be eligible for a free unified bus and train pass called the "Slovenia pass".
This pass allows for unlimited travel with all intercity buses and trains, and city buses in Ljubljana, Maribor, Celje, Kranj, Koper, Krško and Novo Mesto.
How do I apply?
Visit our ticket offices that are open every day of the year and bring your personal ID. We'll issue your pass immediately.
If you're a Slovenian war veteran or European disability card holder please bring the card with you. You will also need to fill in an application, which you can also do in-person.
- Cost of issuing the pass is 3,6 EUR (3 EUR for the physical card and 0,6 EUR for the service).
- Do not forget to bring your European disability card or Slovenian war veteran certificate if you have one.
