Free unified bus and train passes for seniors and some other groups
If you are a permanent resident of Slovenia, are not registered as a jobseeker, are not a company owner and belong to one of the following groups:
- over the age of 65
- Slovenian war veteran card holder
- European disability card holder
then you may be eligible for a free unified bus and train pass called the "Slovenia pass".
This pass allows for unlimited travel with all intercity buses and trains, and city buses in Ljubljana, Maribor, Celje, Kranj, Koper, Krško and Novo Mesto.
How do I apply?
Print and fill in an application. Bring it to Ljubljana bus station ticket offices for immediate approval.
- Cost of issuing the pass is 5,2 EUR (3 EUR for the physical card and 2,2 EUR for the service).
- Do not forget to bring your European disability card or Slovenian war veteran certificate if you have one.
