Maribor Castle
The Maribor Castle, built between 1478 and 1483, is one of the most important architectural landmarks in the city. It is located alongside vibrant squares such as Grajski trg, Trg svobode, and Trg generala Maistra. Inside the castle, you can explore the Maribor Regional Museum, which houses precious art collections.
With its rich history, the castle was once a feudal residence and hosted numerous famous personalities, including rulers and even Pope Pius VI.
