The bridge over the Selška Sora River, made of cut stone in a semicircular shape, dates back to the mid-14th century. It represents a unique monument of its kind in Central Europe.
In 1888, it underwent thorough renovations and was equipped with an iron railing, in the middle of which a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk was placed, with the coat of arms of Škofja Loka on the pedestal. During the Middle Ages, there were Selška Gates with a guard tower next to the bridge.
