The Regional Museum of Celje is a cultural institution that documents, collects, preserves, and researches the cultural heritage of Celje and the region, from prehistory to World War I. Established in 1882 as the City Museum of Celje, it later became the Regional Museum of Celje. It has been involved in preserving historic and archaeological findings as well as organising exhibitions. Despite some interruptions due to wars, the museum has continued its work, and today offers a comprehensive insight into the cultural heritage of the region on more than 3,000 m² of exhibition space and across 10 locations outside Celje.
