Bohinj lake
Bohinj Lake, located in a glacially formed basin, contains nearly 100 million cubic meters of water. According to an old anecdote among the locals, filling up one "bucket" is enough if it's large enough. The lake basin, with steep shores and few shallows, is characterised by its unspoiled nature. As a flowing lake, it warms up to 24°C in the summer months and is often frozen in the winter. During heavy rain, the water level can rise by more than 3 meters.
